Not if they are a Non-Profit entity. Banks are usually For-Profit.

Should we change the tax laws? Possibly. Everyone has a different opinion.
It might be easier to tax just individuals and leave entities be. In any case someone will find an avenue for abuse.
Stop people from being greedy and hope to make them more honest. Maybe then we can truly evaluate if a tax system “works”.

Banks are private entities are all taxed.
Hospitals and churches pay their taxes based on “unrelated business income”.
