First time tattooer needs help!?

Carly: First time tattooer needs help!?
I’m getting my first tattoo and i’m stumped on the design. I want it across from my neck on the facade of my shoulder. i dont know if i want a white hibiscus flower or a crescent moon and star?(that’s my religion’s symbol). I also dont want to spend over $ 60.
THANK YOU GUYS!! YOu’rre all totally right. I nedd to stop being cheap and splurge. Thank You guys for ur honest opinions. It really opened my eyes!!

I’d advise you to rethink this… if you don’t know what you want and can’t afford something nice… don’t get anything at all.

1. Don’t get anything you will ultimately regret later.
2. Put it somewhere you can cover up if required.
3. $ 60.00 is going to be one small tattoo if you go to a reputable place.
4. Go to a reputable place (This is most important for quality and hygiene purposes)

I am a tattoo artist and from what I think you are saying it sounds like a side chest piece or a front shoulder piece? anyway, if you want a white hibiscus as a tattoo, it will be just your skin color with maybe a little shading and white highlights, you can’t really get a white tattoo, just highlights etc. and if you are looking to not spend more than $ 60 your tattoo won’t be much bigger than a 50 cent piece, the normal price range is about $ 100 for an hour of tattooing. If you give me more info, exact placement and size I can help you out more…

the flower sounds nice, but do you want it that visible? that’s not in a very professional spot… i have an upper back tatoo, one on my stomach, and another on my side. im 19, so when i get out of school with my degree i wont have to worry about my tats messing me up with working in a professional setting. but when i go out at night or just out during the day they are still in spots where they are visible for that type of setting…

Your tattoo will be very small if your only willing to spend $ 60. You do realize it’s the proper thing to tip as well. Stop being cheap,and be willing to splurge a little.

$ 60 isn’t going to get you anything that nice its going to be small. I got my inner lip tattooed and that alone cost me like 45 and i gave the guy who did it like a 50$ tip i think it was. If any ones going to offer you something as big as you want for 60 i wouldn’t go their. Prob not the best Quality. I as most people you replied to this question say stop trying be cheap and spend the money you are going to be stuck with this tattoo f-o-r-e-v-e-r
