: at what age does it start to turn embarerassing to work in fastfood?
I know alot of teenagers work in fastfood, but what age do you think when it starts to turn embarrassing. I’m 21 and I started out in fastfood when I was 15, work there for a year and I haven’t worked in fastfood since. I am now a waiter at olive garden. Just a curious question and I know a job is a job no matter what age.

I think if you’re still stuck in fast food industry by 24.. it might be embarrassing. Especially if you’re not a manager or supervisor.
It depends on how you define success.
It doesn’t matter what you do if you can take care of yourself and those you’re responsible for. Whatever you do, be the best you can be. If at the end of the day you can say that you did a good job, your responsibilities are taken care of and you’re happy – who cares if you’re a Waiter or a CEO?
Are you happy with being a waiter? Are you on your own, supporting yourself? If so, then great – be the best waiter ever 🙂 But, if it’s not meeting your needs and you aren’t happy – strive to better yourself for your own sake – not for what other’s think. That’s the only way you’ll be happy.
Answer by FreesumpinDepends on what country you’re living in.
Here in Australia minimum wage is $ 18 an hour, a living wage. It’s not uncommon to see people in their late 20s working in fast food.
In the USA it would be embarrassing to be working for $ 8 or $ 9 an hour at that age.
Right?

NO age. I know retirees who supplement their meager incomes by working in fast food. As long as it’s honest work, and it pays the bills, who cares?Answer by You People Bring Matches For Mikey?
I don’t think there actually is an age when it becomes embarrassing. I have a neighbor who has worked at a fast food joint when she was seventeen, she’s now in her fifties and is happy as a clam to be working there.Answer by Maddy

HOLD ON there! Your OTHER question says you are 21. So what are you? 33? 21? or a LIAR????
Make up your mind and maybe get back to me afterwards. BTW… this really is not an ETIQUETTE question… but thanks for asking!
Have a polite day.
Etiquette takes over where laws end.
After 20 is best for job.
