Don Squirtellee: Should I add personal friends on LinkedIn?
It seems like the most “professional” use of LinkedIn would be just to add people you’ve worked with or contacts that you’d like to work with.

i would. i wouldnt go adding everyone id ever met, but i have a couple of my close personal friends on LinkedIn. while technically they have nothing to do with my career, i went to uni with them and stuff, and you never know when people might come in handy
