Mr. Innocent: What if somebody is selling a brand new laptop but tells you, you have to pay to have wireless installed?
I want to buy a laptop, and there is a guy selling one brand new in the box because he has a better one already and does not need it. I wanted to know if it was wireless, and he said I would have to pay $ 40.00 to have it installed. Does that mean I have to take it in to a computer shop, buy something from my cable provider, but it from any store that sells it or could not having the wireless feature be why he’s selling it?

If the laptop is brand new there is a 99.9% chance that it already has wireless pre-installed. If not you can buy an external card for cheap at any computer store for less than $ 40
All new laptops now have wireless cards installed but a year ago and even now some basic versions like system built with celerons don’t have wifi installed. I’ll give an example like Dell inspiron Bxx with celeron comes without a wifi.
But thats not a problem, there are a lot of sites selling very cheap wifi cards, you can install them easily. If you are getting a good deal like good processor, ram >512mb then go for it. Wireless adapters can be installed easily.
