Japanese now are usually a mix between Buddhism and Shintoism.

big religions in japan are shintoism and buddhism…buddhism is also popular in china shintoism has thousands of gods called kami but the main one is the sun goddess amaterasu buddhism doesnt have gods its is more of a philosophy…alot of africa is just christian

Asians are usually buddhist or taoist. Not so much about idolizing gods, more about becoming enlightened beings. I have no idea about Africans

there’s many religions in the places you named, but buddhism is the big religion in china. taoism and confucianism are traditional religions in china, i don’t know how popular they are anymore though. africans have a lot of pagan religions, although a large portion of them are muslim as well. japanese people are into shintoism and buddhism.
