physics……?

imcool: physics……?
hey ppl i need help to do dese physics question….
Q1. a body travels a distance of 3km towards east, then 4km towards north and finally 9km towards eas:
1. wat is the total distance traveled?
2. wat is the resultant displacement?

Q2. derive the formula “v=u+at” and “S=ut+1/2at²
Q3. a motorboat starting from rest on a lake accelerates in a straight line at a constant rate of 3.0 ms¯² for 8.0S. how far does the boat travel during this time/
Q4. derive relationship v²-u²=2as
Q5. wat do u mean by uniform circular motion.give examples.
Q6.a body is moving uniformly in a straight line wid a velocity of 5m/s. find graphicaly the distance covered by it in 5 secs.

(sum ques may require a diagram ..if u can show the diagram, it will much better…thx)

A little hint, if you want people to answer questions on here, especially harder Physics ones, ask them one at a a time and you will get a better overall response.

1a) 3+4+9 = 16km
1b) SQRT (4^2 + (3+9)^2) = SQRT (160) = 12.65km

2) With these I am not sure where you want me to start from as they are basic principles?

If you start at the beginning for constant acceleration:

a = a

Now integrate this equation with respect to time to get velocity:

v = u + at (Integration requires you to add a constant, which in this case is initial velocity)

Integrate a 2nd time to get displacement:

S = ut + 0.5at^2 + s(0)

This equation really needs S(0) at the end as a constant should be added but you are assuming that you start at zero displacement.

3) Using the 2nd equation gives 96m

4) Again this is a standard equation:

v^2 = u^2 + 2as

5) This is the motion of anything that follows a circular path at constant angular velocity. Examples are geostationary satellite orbits or a letter written on a CD spinning in it’s drive.

6) Graphically means draw it. Draw a velocity/time graph and plot your horizontal line at velocity 5 m/s. The distance covered is the area under the line which is a rectangle of area 25.

5 * 5 = 25m
