Jamie: What order should I learn gymnastics tricks in?
I can do a cartwheel and roundoff. I don’t take gymnastics, but I have a friend who helps me, (she’s been taking gymnastics for years). I have a trampoline I can use.

-Front Limber (handstand into a bridge and stand up)
-Backbend Kickover (try to do it with straight legs)
-Front Handspring
-Back Handspring (you may want to try this on a trampoline first)
-Roundoff Back Handspring
-Roundoff Back Handspring Backtuck
Alright.. i’ll stop there. Good Luck!! =)
Answer by allstarcheerrocksThis is my opinion. Sometimes you will end up learning something without even trying so you may not follow this exact order. But…
-front walkover
-back walkover
-front handspring
-back handspring
-round off back handspring
-round off 2 or more back handsprings
– standing handspring(s)
– round off back handspring tuck
-round off tuck
– standing back handspring tuck
– standing tuck
good luck!

That is all you should try to learn without a gymnastics coach. You can get seriously injured if you do not do them correctly
Answer by Coach ~JenYou should still go to a gym. Having a trampoline and a knowledgeable friend isn’t necessarily going to keep you safe.Answer by Sarah
I think it depends on what you want to learn. Do you just want to know how to flip? If you can do a roundoff with a good rebound I say go ahead and learn a back handspring. Then you can go into a roundoff handspring and eventually (when that gets strong enough) you can learn how to add the tuck onto the end of it. The only reason you really need to know how to do the little things (ie, backwalkover, front walkover, limbers, etc) is if you intend on competing with some of the routines. It doesnt sound like you are competing so I would start learning the fun stuff!
