Eriza: Why are movie openings delayed in other countries?
Some movies are launched simultaneously, others are delayed months. WHY? It seems to me the movie industry is begging for illegal downloads, because if they launched the movie in all countries at the same time there would be much less pirating.

They want to see how every country reacts to the movie, before they release it. If they release it in one country and it’s really bad then they aren’t going to want to release it other places as well, for fear of losing money. It would also be hard to release it everywhere. The stars have to go to previews and things like that, so they just need to space it all out.
