Swimmer: What is a movie that is contrasting to the green latern?
I have to do a english project where we have to watch two movies with contrasting themes. I have already watched The Green Lantern, the only problem is that I cant think of a movie or a movie theme that is contrasting to this film. It has to be a film I have not seen and can easily watch so newer movie suggestions would be great.

The Green Hornet was 10 times better than the Green Lantern!
Green lantern is about overcoming fear, so you need a movie about being afraid. There are literally endless supplies of horror movies to use. I’d go with the exorcist or something like that.Answer by Kaviani999

If you’ like to keep to the superhero genre, you could contrast/compare Green Lantern to Batman.
The contrast is one hero receiving fantastical powers and a purpose from alien beings, while another is completely human/no powers and self-driven (not handed his mission form outside forces). One was chosen to become what he is, while the other chose for himself. There are other contrasts too, but you get the idea.Answer by sam
The movie is about will (the Lanterns) overcoming fear (the villains). So I’m thinking maybe movies where the characters end up turning on each other because fear and paranoia gets the best of them.

My suggestion would be Iron Man. Although both movies had some similarities there are some contrasts to them. One reason is that Green Lantern is from DC and that Iron-Man is fromsuperheroYou also can point out that although both were humans turned into superhero, one was chosen while the other turn out to become out in order to survive.
