4thtennenbaum: Moisturzing skin from the inside out? Any foods or herbs to take to provide some moisture to the skin?
I know drinking water helps and lotion, but most lotions just treat the symptom of dry skin and keep moisture in. Is there any food or berb, supplements, oils etc that can make your skin more moist, especially in the winter? I use a humidifier, but my skin dries out. Any suggestions for treating the inside out?

Not a one that you have not just covered…..humidity and water drinking are it. No special herbs and for gosh sakes stay out of the sun without sunscreen slathered all over you!
foods with omega 3 will moisturize your skin from the inside out. i.e. fish (especially SALMON), walnuts, flaxseeds, soybeans, shrimp, etc. there is also food with omega 3 added to it like milk.Answer by Jo
Evening primrose Oil – 3 times a day
Flax Seed Oil is also very good
L_carnitine will help your cells absorb and retain the mositure you give them by drinking water
And believe it or not, glucosamine.
Good luck!Answer by Lulu
Hemp seed oil is also high in Omega3 and 6, very good for your skin.
