jay_jay_9002: mICROSOFT ?
When I download the service pack 2 for windows XP from microsoft.com is it the whole thing or do I have to actually connect the computer to the internet to get it or can I download it to a removeable drive?

you can save service pack 2 onto disk, it updates the whole operating system and takes a while. good luck

If you download the Network Installation Package, it’s the entire 266 MB package and you won’t be required to be online when it’s installed. It can be downloaded to a removeable drive and installed on other PCs that don’t have an internet connection.
