to convince your parents i have no idea, because my mom was a cosmetologist so she always let me try it, but a great place to get cheap, quality, brand name makeup is sephora.comAnswer by JennaLeighhh
If you apply it in a way so that you can barely see it (just for now, until they accept it) they will be fine with it. What your mom and your sister are worried about is how much youre going to put on – tell them you will use makeup in a mature way; and show them! use a hint of eyeliner only on the bottom rims of your eyes and a hint of mascara on your top eyelashes.
CVS, or your local pharmacy, has the BEST makeup. They have makeup from all the basic brands; covergirl, ulta, neutrogena, etc. Hot Topic has amazing eyeliner.
Good luck!Answer by Brittany
just kinda sit them down and talk about it thats what i did and at first she only let me wear foundation and and eyeliner and then as i got a little older she let me try new things like eyeliner and all that good stuff…just kinda say mom i really think im old enough to start wearing makeup and just come to a compromise w. her if i have to ill only wear ________ (whatever you really want to wear) for now until im older or something thats how i got started wearing makeup and now i wear it all!
i would try sephora just go in to the store and ask them to try some products on you they will ask you questions and find out whats best for you and what colors look good and pick out products for you but you dont have to buy them there because they are expensive if your on a budget then go to the drugstore and ask the beauty adviser there like at walgreens :]]
Answer by dancer032295first of all tell them that u really want to experiment with makeup and you’ll let them help you pick it out, apply it, and other stuff (it makes them feel more in control). remember dont push the subject, ask them and give them a couple days to think and decide (this way they have more time to think about YOUR feelings). MAC and bobbi brown work really well.

when i started wearing makeup i was in lyk 7th and 8th grade.
i kind of just wore it and i dont really remember how i convinced my mom… lol
but i think a good way is to tell them that theres nothing wrong with it b/c eyeliner and mascara are light and not too much makeup.
just tell them how you just really want to take another step towards growing up.
as for where to get the makeup… the good brands are lancome and all those but sometimes theyre just too expensive. theres nothing wrong with simple covergirl or nyc makeup.
good luck!
Talk to your mum and sister about their concerns and why you’d like to wear make up and ask if it would be okay to wear a small amount. When buying make up I would suggest you go to a pharmacy and don’t choose brands you’ve never heard of. As an additional piece of information The Body Shop sell products which have not been tested on animals.Answer by Crumsta
I would just talk to your mom calmly, rationally, and maturely about it. If you act mature about it, she will respect your opinion a lot more. If I were you, I would also accept any compromises your mom offers…like, if she says mascara, powder, and blush are ok, but nothing else…then take it! The reason they probably don’t like it is because a lot of young girls wear TOO much makeup, and it ends up looking really BAD. Just remember less is more, and she’ll probably be willing to bend a bit.
As far as good mascara and eyeliner, I REALLY LOVE AVON! They usually have a lot of good deals, too. Find an Avon rep. soon! =) If you don’t want to have to order it, I also really like Define-A-Lash by Maybelline…which you can find at places like Wal-Mart and such.
Good luck! And remember to always remove your makeup before going to bed! =)
Answer by What’s up with that?Just find some makeup, then put A LITTLE on at a time. So they start noticing and they will realize that you know how to do it, and you won’t make yourself look like a clown.Answer by Rachel
Well… If you are eighteen, you can wear make up without your parents permission. You wold be an adult. But I would ask them nicely. Just say, “Mom, I know you don’t like makeup. But I really enjoy wearing it. Can I start wearing makeup, if I start off simple. I wont do my eyeliner too dark, and I will wear light color eye shadows. Please.” Thats what I said to mine when I was thirteen and she said, “yes.” Hope I’ve helped. Oh and MAC has good make up. I would try target or Walmart, they have Revlon and MAX, and Maybalene. . 🙂
