i am a new convert and i need some supprot i feel that i have done a bad thing …i have not told my family and i am stress with this change and school and quite franquliy i wanna give up. i wanna be a good muslim but i dont pray ..idk how i have been staving myself cause i dont eat anything that i think is agisnt islam and i am afraid that if my parents find out they will kick me out of the house …i wanna run away at least then i dont have to hide it from them……..what do i do?

It is astonishing to read these accounts about “converts” to Islam, strangely, three, so far, have been ladies, who claim to be in mortal fear of ill treatment and possible murder by their non-Muslim families!?

Sister, why do you fee you’ve done a bad thing?

On the contrary, you have done a wonderful thing! Allah (God in Arabic) has selected you to be guided by His Light. Welcome to the greatest religion in the world!

I don’t know how old you are, but I’m assuming you are old enough to make your own decisions about your life and future. Islam will make you a better person.

I would suggest you contact your local mosque and find converts that you can share your ideas with, and perhaps learn about Islam together.

Here are some links to websites you can listen and ask questions about Islam. Remember, don’t ever believe anything negative anyone tells you about Islam. You have to seek the knowledge for yourself. You can gradually practice Islam as you become more familiar with the religion.

Ibrahim (Abraham) was a child when he was seeking the truth. He opposed his father and tribal religion, and knew that he was guided by the truth. In the Qur’an, Allah (swt) mentions that he questioned his fathers blind faith to idols made of rock, that will neither benefit, nor harm them. He bugged the hell out of his father on this issue. His challenge, and utmost belief in God earned him the title of “Khaleel-ul-lah”, The Friend of God.

Is it that stressful?
What can I say to you, since you are new convert, try to pray as much as possible, don’t make a routine that is stressful. In time, when you will be adjusted to the new life, it would be lot easier for you.
There are lot of things you can eat easily, no need for you to starve.
Talk to your parents about religion as a whole and different faiths. Don’t annoy or dishearten them. In course of time, you would be able to tell them about your conversion, hopefully.
And welcome to Islam!

coooongratulation and hope for for you guidence. actually i am so glad that i see a life example of those who are pure and guided people and i want to assure to you that you didnt do any thing wrong in fact you do the right thing as
you now have the ability to gradually be a better person and show them how you become more kind and mercy and all good characterstics we have in islam until one ask you why you become so nice ? i see you telling them your
way in finding the truth and the proof we have in islam….ect
