Is unlimited taxation any different than serfdom?

Harold B: Is unlimited taxation any different than serfdom?
How can we be a free country when by definition 50% taxation is a state of serfdom. 50% is all the old aristocracy could tax because anything higher destroyed the society and not because the aristocracy was not taking more by reason of kindness Can we continue to feed a massive welfare population that wont work for it’s food?

You seem to have a tenuous grasp on both reality and the facts.

Some would blame the schools. I blame your parents.

I think we need to tax the rich. I am not an financial expert, but one senator said that giving tax breaks to the wealthiest will NOT help our country out of this recession. We need to rebuild this country from the bottom up, not the top down. On a different note, I think there is a conspiracy going on in this country. The bilderbergers have control along with the the State of Israel. I am not anti-semitic but when they ruin our country buy making us support them and defend them from muslims, we are just making enemies. I am a Christian, so I put all non-Jesus followers in the same category. It is time to break free and be a true democracy. The Palestinians live like rats in cages and that is not justice.

We should feed people who can’t work, or who are between jobs. We should also adequately compensate people who take otherwise low paying jobs. I don’t care who you are, you haven’t earned 5,000 times the income of your janitor or 2,000 times the income of your teacher.

Meh. Some would argue that the same problem occurs at the top of the social ladder as well. Some (*cough* Republicans *cough*) are even pissed about the estate tax. Its hard to argue that that they are working for the people willing to “work for food.”

Answer by Messenger of God
The problem is greedy corporations working along with the Government. There are Government services that are needed to maintain our economy, but there is also wasteful spending of our tax dollars.
Do you know why there is such a high welfare population? It’s because large corporations in order to make a profit either will increase the prices on their product, or lay off employees. The employees that are laid off can not afford their mortgages on their homes so the bank either short sales or forecloses. Another factor is that a person that is laid off will not spend as much money their for high unemployment leads to a downturn in the economy. And by corporations increasing their prices on their products causes inflation which increases poverty.
In order for the Government to compensate for the unemployment they place people on welfare. Because whoever the Government is supporting they also control. So do you understand that the greedy corporations are in league with the Government? More poverty created the more control the Government has over people.

If your at the bottom of the social status your a slave.

Yes, it is. Serfs had no right to any income, except at the king’s/lord’s discretion.
And 50% tax isn’t “unlimited,” is it?
You seem to be using some rather silly hyperbole in an attempt to make a point.
Not a good idea.

Peace.
