Brittany: Is there a way to predict when my school’s chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha will be having there next intake?
I am really passionate about joining Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority incorprorated! I think that it is a wonderful organization comprised of beautiful and positive women that have not only inspired me but have also help enpower me as a african american woman! I was trying to get my stuff together (i.e. money for dues, paper work, etc.) but the chapter on my campus is very hush hush…although I do respect their privacy I just dont want to be caught off guard by their next membership intake period…is there anyway I can predict or figure out when the next intake will be? Are they usually after Skee-Week/Think Pink week? Or before? Is there a pattern or some type of sign that someone can give me…I feel really lost!!! lol

There is no “pattern”. If you are passionate about becoming a member of my sorority, simply go ahead and get your “stuff” together now. It’s better to have things in order and not need them, then to need them and not have the things in order.
I agree with my Soror. There’s no pattern. Just get your stuff together and do what you have to do to get prepared for the formal rush. Pay attention to the flyers posted around your campus and do your research. If you really want to become a part of this lovely organization, then do what you can to get all your materials ready for the formal rush. This organization is sacred and we don’t tell you everything there is to know because that’s for you to find out! God bless.
