Desperate: Is there a way to eliminate cooking (fried food) odors from clothing and keep it away?
I have tenants that keep cooking fried food and the smell wafts into the upper level. Unfortunately, this smell has now gotten into my closet and all the clothes in there have absorbed the smell. I’ve heard that Febreze helps as does washing it, but is there an effective method to keep the smell from returning even when they cook it constantly? Or is there any way to absorb the odors before my clothes absorb it, perhaps with a different material?

Put lemons in your vents……….
You might try baking soda, but it sounds like better ventilation is what’s really needed.Answer by poppy vox
Having problems with cooking odors? The perfect answer is right here. The NASA reverse jet kitchen extraction unit. But bolt down that cooker and hang onto your hat when you switch it on.Answer by southforty1961
Sounds like heaven for Homer Simpson mmm french fries. Seriously tho there are hanging charcoal filters that absorb odors, try a few in your closet. Also there are some real good air purifiers out there for the home but they are alot more money, may be get one on a trial basis, see if it works before you buy it. Good luck
