You could at least say something along the lines of missing a free throw or something, it’s not as if he’s completely blinded and runs in the wrong direction.
He knows what he wants to do, regardless if his people do, and even if he tries with all of his heart to do something — there’s always the possibility the ball just might not go through.
And continuing with the whole basketball analogy, really our main priority should be to keep ourselves focused on our jobs of being the referees watching it all take place and simultaneously learn from our mistakes. If you’ve got a horrible player, don’t put him back in.
