jamie a: Is it necessary to take the GRE exam when planning to study in Europe?
I am currently an undergrad student, and I am planning on pursuing my Masters and Doctorate degrees at schools in the UK. Will I still be required to take the GRE exam? or is there a European equivalent that I should take instead?

What on earth is a GRE exam? I’m from the UK and have done bachelor’s and master’s degrees here, never heard of that. So I doubt you need it! But find the course that you want at the institution you want, and ask them direct. Best way, eh?
Most schools in Europe don’t require it, but some do. So it depends on the school you’re applying to. Check with them. I know UCL does not require the GRE, but good GRE scores will be taken into consideration. So if you think you can do well, take it and send the scores. LSE doesn’t require the GRE only if you attended an undergrad school in the UK, so as someone above me said, students in the UK may never hear of the GRE. However, LSE does require ALL international students to take the GRE. So the short answer to your question is check with the school. Most likely you won’t need it, but sometimes you do.
P.S. GRE is the most retarded test ever! Good luck if you ever have to take it.
