I have all internet reqirements and i am hooking up a 98 when i put in the coord nothing happens

I would suggest that you check to be sure that there aren’t any loose or unplugged connections.
If everything’s connected correctly, perhaps you should try resetting your modem and router by unplugging them for about fifteen seconds or so and then plugging them back in.

PS: My tip to you is to use clearwire. It works fine.
