I have DSL conection, and I need to connect second computer on the net. I have already bought LPT and connected the second comp to first one. The thing is that the two comps cant see eachother on the LPT. I need full detail how to conect the computer 2 computer on LPT and on the internet. If some1 can help me do so. I need that information ASP. Tnx. 😉

If your question is how to just get the second computer on the net, then the easiest way is to get a wireless router. You connect the first computer from dsl modem to router then to computer. The second computer should have a wireless network card to pick up the wireless signal from the wireless router.
Then you can use the second computer from anywhere in the house without having to be connected to the first computer to get internet.

using wireless equipment is very nice but also you will pay the nicty of it.
go to network connections(right click on the my network places go to properties) then if you have xp
on the right upper corner there is create a new connection
click next>choose set up an advanced connection>next>choose connect directly to another computer>next>you should do this in the both pcs the computer which has internet is the host and the other is the guest>next>you will choose lpt port>next>you will give the permission to users (you should give the permisson to the user by which you will log on to this computer)>next>finish
for the guest its like the host choose the correct port

then it will create a connection for you (in the guest computer)you can easily connect.

for sharing internet the case is a little complicated.

You need a router*, one ethernet patch cable per computer**, and if you wish to connect your printer to your LAN a print server. If you have a DSL installed you should be plug and play. The router has 4 port and you have 2 computers and 1 printer.
Check with you ISP and see if your DSL modem has a router built in. If it does you will only need a hub****. If this is the case you can just add the hub and plug in the second computer andd ru the Network Connection Wizard.
At any rate i will be effortless.

U can think of usin usb for dsl connection and use the lan port of ur computer to connect to the other computer
