Sounds like your laptop is missing the driver for the DVD-RW drive in it.
BEst way to STOP THIS is to let it install the driver properly.
Check CDs laptop came with for a drivers disc, and make sure ALL are installed.
If you have problems still, contact Samsung tech support for the specific driver fix
Answer by Jun TUnder device manager, disable any hardware which is having a yellow warning sign.Answer by CSide
As Jun T says but don`t just disable remove the items
pay particular attention to the IDE ATA/ATAPI Devices .
If you see Other Devices as a category remove every thing in there.
Do all this in safe mode.
When you restart windows should find new hardware and a DVD drive should install automatically with standrd win drivers ,but if as I suspect the problem was with the ATA secondry channel you may need to use your drivers which you should have copyed from the installation CD to the hard drive a long time ago If you haven`t do it before you start sorting this out. Don`t worry if you can`t access the CDDVD because of this problem you can allways download the drivers from the Samsung site .
Good luck
