in fengshui, you want to determine which of the part of your house is southeast to determine lucky position, how do you do that holding a compass?

hold the compass and see where the arrow points. you should already know the general direction if you know where you live.

Hold the compass.. spin it so that the needle and the gauge are both aligned to north. Then South East on the compass is the direction of South East.

Hold the compass in front of you. Keep turning until the compass points to southeast. The direction that you’re facing is the direction the arrow on the compass is pointing to.

You can do it without a compass.
Notice which side of your house faces the sunrise. Then putting the sun at 12 like on a clock turn your vision to where the 2 would be. You are now looking southeast.
