tbf-ac: If someone claims to be loving, but their actions prove otherwise, would you still tell others they are loving?
Many Christians claim God is loving.
They like to include Bible verses to ‘prove’ this.
However other verses in the Bible show that the action God takes is not very ‘loving’.
Why claim something is loving when they are shown clearly to promote hate of others, killing, slavery, etc, etc?
How is it possible to be loving, yet instruct so much hate of others just based on who they are?

I wouldn’t tell others anything. I would mind my own business.
Any type of message should be expressed in love. Rather than tell someone they’re going to hell if they don’t accept Christ, why not let them know that Jesus loves them so much He died for them so they can go to heaven. ——————————Answer by Dr. Jazz ♥♥ Fun Aтнєιѕтs ♥♥
THE RIVERKID: What? But you are still condemning them to burn in Hell if they don’t believe!
Why not just cut the crap altogether.
To answer: Love in the bible is of a more parochial sense. It is not to be questioned (lest we logic our way out of it). It is only fairly recently(about 100 years) that compassion has become fashionable as a social theme (with the rise of skepticism). Before that the Lord was largely something to be feared.Even slavery or violence went unquestioned by most.Royalty often decreed what something “meant” and it went unquestioned in the public square. The bible itself was not allowed to be read by the common man until the 1600s. At such a time these logical disputes we have today would be nearly impossible.

The evil verses in the bible outweighs the good verses in the bible. The rest of the bible consists of narcissistic self promotion of one form or another. ie verses like ‘a fool says there is no giant invisible magic being’.
The Quran is even worse for self promotion, making up a good 90% of it.
The truth needs no such help, and it certainly does not need death penalties for disagreeing, which both religions have.
Practicing Shaman… quantum physics rocks.
Answer by Tony_the_hereticI once read that if you ever speak of others, it should be in a kind way. It kind of makes sense, because if you evaluate someone in a bad way, the person you are talking to might deep down wonder if you are going to do it to him
