Yes you can. Just keep in mind that credit cards have protection, debit cards may have protection; it depends on your bank. I use my debit card anyway.

You can use your debit card as long as it has the Visa or Mastercard symbol on it. If it does you are fine and do not need to specify the card is a debit card.
