Rome: If I major in economics and get a minor in history can I still become a teacher?
I am wondering if I major in economics and minor history is it possible to get Certified in the state of CA to become a History and/or Economics high school teacher. I would like to become a high School teacher but just want to keep my options open. Please let me know to see which route to take my further education.

Most definitely, in addition you might qualify for a “composite” certificate in the Social Sciences, if your state allows such. With a major in Economics and a minor in History, assuming United States, your choices are still limited as history positions seem to be a dime-a-dozen. Check with your school as well as the state’s dept. of education to check all your possibilities.
