xoxo: What are some ideas for a company holiday party on a no or very low budget?
This year our company decided not to have a holiday party due to revenue and budget issues. What are some ideas you can think of that we can still do w/o spending any money or very little money from the employees’ own pockets? There’s only less than 45 of us.

bowling pizza and beer party! woot!!!!!!!!!!
My husband’s company last year took us to watch a play. It was theatre and dinner. You could go to the movies and then go for pizza in a place like pizza hut, and exchange presents. Everyone buy a 20 dollars present that could be for anyone. It could come up as no more than 50 each.Answer by TerribleTim
have a “white elephant party” everyone brings meaningless gift (something lying around the house) wrapped and puts it under the tree, them everyone draws a number from a hat (1-however many) then the #1 person picks a present and opens it in front of everyone. then the next person does the same but can keep their gift or trade (steal) any already open gift and so on. sounds stupid but it ends up very funny and enjoyableAnswer by georgiarose
Have a pot luck type of function. Everyone contibutes a dish, I mean a box of mac and cheese is $ 1.
Another way to do it would be to have everyone pitch in $ 5 and order catering from the Boston Market if you have one in the area. Or they can use the money pitched in to order pizza for everyone.Answer by owlcroft
Have an indoor “picnic”. Enjoy the middle of summer in the winter by spreading sheets on the floor and having everyone bring sandwiches or potato salad or lemonade.Answer by Caroline

Have everyone pitch in and bring different dishes and decorations and just have a good time ragging on the boss who was to cheap to throw a party for his hard working employees. That’s just wrong!!! glad I work for a co. that appreciates us and throws us parties for holidays and our b-daysAnswer by Larry W

You could have a casino party. I know a great company that does casino rentals, poker, bingo, the works. Hopefully they are in your area, but at least you can check them out for prices and ideas.
