Nilfie: I need anyone who doesn’t believe in “Love” to give me scientific proof behind their theory that love is FAKE?
Someone made a compelling arguement to me one time about how “love” is just a fabrication of the mind and he had scientific facts behind it something about oxytocin,dopamine, and seratonin anybody know what this is all about??? Thanks!

That is a new one to me.

Love is a biologically induced feeling found in many animals and most mammals.

Perhaps you are confused by thinking of love as somehow ‘magical’ or ‘supernatural’. If that were true, does that mean that other feelings such as anger, fear and hunger are also caused by magic?

“Love” is a word. As people grow up, they learn how the word seems to be used. They can also read in dictionaries how people have attempted to define it. It is not necessarily the same thing for everyone, but there are some reasons to believe that common things happen in the brains of a lot of people.

If I really wanted to show someone that I loved them, I would paint their arm green.

Nilfy…That is a bunch of rubbish, and you seem to be a person above believing that kind of ‘magic reasoning’ they provide you with. Let me explain…

Dopamine, serotonin, glucagon, insulin…they are all “hormones” generated by the glands as a response from the brain. These “endochrinos” (internal secretion glands) are but just workers to do the job of “the mind”, where “love” resides.

Love is a “behavior”, not a feeling. It produces a feeling. It produces a “link” of union. What you are trying to do is “catch God in the act” and you can not do that. “Nobody can see me and yet live” He told Moses. Similarly, you cannot “see” the love; all you see are chemical commands, electronic responses of the brain and stuff like that.

Only because you do not believe in Him and want to prove that. You will never succeed at that. That who “sees” Him has to do it with the eye of the faith. Do you know what faith is?
