I just called to say I love you: I have a can of soy beans.. what do I do with it?
I’m what I call a “normal” eater.. no fancy funny diets– vegan/vegetarian, Atkins, not even SlimFast or Jenny Craig/WeightWatchers.. Just food…
I don’t mind red meat in my diet. I eat fast food on a (probably more than is best) rather regular basis. I use vegetable oil in my cooking, and as much salt as is needed to taste good.
I enjoy cooking, and rarely use a recipe (mostly cuz what I make I’ve made a hundred times, and have the “recipe” memorized).
Somehow I ended up with 2 cans of soy beans. Now I don’t want to waste them, but I truly have no clue what to do with them!
Salad? Baked in a casserole? Mashed into some kind of um, something?
No links please, just recipes…. Thanks.

Answer by icybicycleEasy bean salad- you can throw some tuna fish in this as well
Drain and rinse a can of white beans and add finely chopped onion and celery.
Dress with vinaigrette or a salad dressing of your choice.
You can throw in olives, artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes–whatever is in your ‘fridge condiment collection, then a sprinkle of parsley or other complimentary herbs.
It’s pretty basic, but can be served chilled or at room temperature.
Mango Avocado Soy Bean Salad.
Fresh cubed mango and avocado, soy beans, diced red onion and jalapeno pepper, fresh cilantro, dressed with fresh squeezed lime and orange juice, olive oil, dash of hot sauce, salt, and a small pinch of sugar/sweetener. I either serve it straight or over lettuce.
