Isabella Pelligrino: How would you define geometry in your own words?
I have to write a paper for my Geometry class and in it I need to define Geometry in my own words…
Here is the books definition:
Geometry: The branch of mathematics that deals with the deduction of the properties, measurements, and relationships of points, lines, angles, and figures in space from their defining conditions by means of certain assumed properties of space.
How would you define Geometry in a simple way/your own words?
Any and all help appreciated! Thanks!
Also… Why do you think your definition is a good one? Thank you.

Boring
Geometry is the branch of math that uses proofs to over complicate everything. It also takes things that were previously unrelated and gives us a way to relate them. points with lines, lines with angles, and all of the above with a figure.
Try using urban dictionary…I bet there are some fun definitions you could relate to. 🙂

Geometry is the branch of maths that involves study of shapes and its minute details like points as basis of all shapes. How the shape can be transformed applying theory of other shapes and so on……….Answer by ~♪~ Polar Bear ~♪~
In my own words: A waste of my time!
Another way of saying it could be….
Geometry is a branch of mathematics which uses proofs, to breakdown into detail the measurements of angles, geometric shapes, and the definitions of figures.
Why is my def a good one? Cuz i think i spent the majority of my geometry days doing proofs! blah
