Better I think. At least without Federer. I think what tennis lacks right now is personality. The lack of Federer and possibly Nadal would open it up to a wider field of possible challengers- many of them a heck of a lot more interesting than Federer as people. The heights of tennis’ popularity has always come when great personalities were at the top of their games (see Aggasi, Andre and McEnroe, John), not just great players.Answer by eeyore1234
Nooooooo that would mean Djokovic was world number 1 😐
We need Federer and Nadal’s passion and rivalry !!Answer by Madina
I actually think it would be better, Federer is so dominent at the moment that its getting rather predictible to watch(especially at Wimbeldon). I prefer varied competition rather than just 2 players going for the slams all the timeAnswer by asian_angel96
im not sure if its Federer and Nadal that we should be talking about i think that it is crazee that Serena and Venus will be facing off in the FinalsAnswer by crazya
there would not be a sport called tennis. i luv u rafa. tennis would be s**t with out themAnswer by Tenniser
Their rivalry is so exciting, and individually, they are both great players.
So removing the best players from the game only makes the game alittle less competitive. Right now people are fighting and boosting up themselves to beat these players. more effort is being placed on bettering, trying to beat the best in order to be the best.
Personality wise, they are both great guys, both are sort of quiet in terms of personality, but fierce on the court. Beautiful contrast.
Answer by nate_maloneThen the mens tennis game would be ripped wide open just like the womens game, with ranking changing constantly, tennis would definatey not be as fun to watch.Answer by james
these guys get lot of media attention , which is good for gameAnswer by Tim S
id hate tennis, itd be boring. its like saying womens tennis without henin. Nadal all the way!!!Answer by zoso_again
It would mean that Djokovic is gonna be #1 and Davydenko #2 in the world and there would have to be a rivalry between them. However I think it wouldn’tbe the same thing as Rodg’ vs Rafa coz those 2 guys have a passion for tennis all the way, just watch today’s Wimbledon final…
I thought Roger would take another 6 tophy today but it didn’t meant to be…
Answer by MelodramaIf Federer or Nadal weren’t around, there would be other exciting players occupying their positions. Perhaps, Roddick, Hewitt, Murray, Bagdaitis, would have profited with Federer not hanging around at number one for so long.
It’s the same situation in golf. With Tiger Woods gone, the opportunity is there for other players to shine.
I think that Federer/Nadal is one of the greatest rivalry in tennis. I really liked the Borg/McEnroe rivalry, though. The serve and volley/baseliner contrast really made this rivalry something special.
