: How to transfer files from my old computer to new computer?
Almost three years ago, my old computer had many bad viruses and bad pop-ups. I have some files left on that computer and I did not see them for almost three years ago. I wonder I will like to see my old files again that I can connect to my new computer to old computer. That is problem that I am afraid which bad viruses will come to my new one from old one. Please let me know how I can get my old files move from my old computer to my new computer without bring bad viruses to my new one?

try putting Linux (linux.com) on your old PC and running a virus scan. that will eliminate any virus and you will safely be able to copy all the files. If you have any questions about putting Linux on a computer, feel free to email me at [email protected]
Well you might need an extra drive but what you do as get the extra drive and download all the docs you need onto it and then hook it to your new computer and upload it.Answer by DemonSniper739
There are many options.
1. I would download Avasta Anti-Virus on both machines and install.
2. You have three ways to copy these files.
Belkin Transfer Cable (VIRUS IF INFECTED IS A CHANCE WILL MOVE THROUGH IT)
Burn files to CD/DVD (LESS OF A CHANCE A VIRUS WILL INFECTE A CD)
Find an External Hard Drive Box and Back up Files to it. (THE GREATEST CHANCE OF VIRUS)
3. Well I forgot carry it to a speciality store and have them get the files for you but be pepraded to pay $ $ $ $ $ $ lots for this service.
I hope this helps.
Answer by ReissOn your old computer download “AVG free” and run a scan on your computer ( i recommend scanning it 2-3 times) – https://download.cnet.com/AVG-AntiVirus-Free-2013/3000-2239_4-10320142.html?tag=mncol
Then to transfer the files to your new computer you could use a memory stick to put all your files onto and then copy them onto your new computer or you could buy a USB cable that links both of the computers together –
Hope i helped 🙂
