helpmequick.: How to grow hair longer and faster in a healthy way?
I had relaxed, dyed hair which felt dry and brittle and it was breaking. I just didn’t like how my hair felt. So i decided to cut my hair very short, so that i can grow my hair. Now i miss having my hair and i want a way to grow my hair long and fast.
Currently my hair is in weave.
Any other suggestions.
Any products that has been suggested must sell in the UK.
Thank you.

Don’t put it up in a bobble because it has no where to grow. Always sleep with it down, straightening it always makes it look longer. Try and visualise your hair like a plant. You need to keep your hair clean and it would help to keep the sun shining on it as well. just try and keep it down
Well for one try using Mane N’ Tail Horse Shampoo. I use it all the
time and it makes your hair grow faster. I;d say massage it into
your scalp b/c thats going to help the roots if you just put it on
the ends, it not going to do anything to it. You can find it at
walmart in the pet section. also you should drink plenty of water
to condition your hair and when shampooing and conditioning you should
use cold or luke warm water on your hair so it won’t damage it.
Even hot water hurts your hair.
Btw if your looking for a cute hairstyle to try out without heat try these:

Make sure this is something you want to do. Most guys who grow long hair start from a relatively short style, and hair grows at about half an inch per month (that’s six inches per year).
2Identify your hair type. There are umpteen different ‘types’ of hair, but for the purpose of this article they can be classed in 4 broad categories, straight, wavy, curly & frizzy. This step is important as it will affect how you care for your hair later down the line. If you don’t know what type of hair you have, ask your parents. Chances are you haven’t always had a shaved head, and they can remember what it was like before.
3Don’t cut your hair. Some people believe that trims help hair grow faster. This is false. Cutting your hair makes it shorter, not longer. If you cut it, you only prolong the awkward stage. Don’t cut it for fear of splits either, you won’t have to worry about them for a long time. Even when you get a couple they won’t go all the way to the root and stop growth as some think. And good haircare will minimize the amount you have.
4Develop good hair hygiene. Keep your hair clean, but remember that the natural oils in your hair are what strengthen it. So, every once in a while, it’s okay to go without washing it.
5To Wash: the basic routine for a guy is to thoroughly wet your hair, shampoo all over, then thoroughly wash the shampoo out. Conditioner is NOT optional. Let it air dry.
6If your hair’s long enough, put it in a loose ponytail.
7As your hair lengthens, its type (see above) will become more important. Straight hair is easy, but curly wavy & frizzy hair can be troublesome. If you’re growing out hair of this type, make sure you brush it as best you can, to avoid unruly knots. This is a lot more uncomfortable than you can imagine if you’ve never had an obstinate knot in your hair before.
8The longer your hair gets, the more you may need to tie it up to keep it out of your eyes (for whatever reason). Good ways to do this are: Just a simple ponytail behind your head. The main downside of this is your hair needs to be at least medium length to do this. If it is, ask your mom, sister or a friend to show you how, it’s not as easy as it appears at first. Other ways to restrain your hair are bandannas, & beanie hats. When your hair gets long enough you can use braids, pigtails, barettes, etc. to hold your hair back. These styles are not feminine. They are just hairstyles. Don’t believe me; Ask Willie Nelson. Do not restrain your hair with rubber bands, they will damage your hair.
9Be patient. Hair takes time to grow, and until it gets to shoulder length or thereabouts it will look crappy. There are no two ways about it. Please realize that for anything from a few months to a year and a half, you’ll look fairly silly with your half grown hair. But don’t be disheartened, the important thing to remember is to be a man about it, no matter how crummy your hair looks in this awkward period, think how sweet it’ll look when its done!

Leave-in conditioner can stop it from becoming a birds nest, and you can use it whenever you want. Highly recommended.
When brushing your hair you’ll get knots no matter what type of hair it is. When brushing out knots, don’t just drag until the knot comes out or it hurts too much, this will just damage your hair. Instead grab a handful of your hair behind the knot and then brush, this way you can feel the brushing and it doesn’t damage your scalp.
Avoid brushing your hair when it is wet. Your hair is weaker when it is wet and brushing can cause hairs to break. Use a wide toothed comb when your hair is wet instead. Use a boar’s hair brush when your hair is dry. However, for those with curly or frizzy hair, brushing when dry is not an option, and thus hair must be combed when wet.
Long hair and the wind don’t mix. In winter, try restraining your growing hair with one of the ways above, although you may be lucky enough to have thick, heavy hair that’s hefty enough to stay down in the wind.
If you’re thinking about growing long hair and are mostly bald or going bald or with a bald patch… go for it. See: Benjamin Franklin, Devin Townsend of Strapping Young Lad and Hulk Hogan.
During the “awkward stage” of growing your hair, try styling it; some guys spike it so it doesn’t cover their eyes, and it looks cooler.
Experiment with your growing hair. As it gets longer you’re going to need a parting sooner or later, so try an
The tips that these people have given you are myths, don’t fall for it! There are no products. Your options are pretty slim; even if you do everything you are supposed to you may not actually see an increase in growth. Hair isn’t alive and it doesn’t grow. Hair is an accumulation of a protein called keratin inside the follicle. As it builds up on the bottom it is pushed out the top, creating “hair growth”.
This is a biological process so nothing that you do to your hair, like trimming it or using some “special” shampoo can help. Eat a healthy, protein rich diet and take a regular multivitamin daily. Since hair is protein, eating foods rich in protein like peanut butter, eggs, and fish can help to accelerate growth. Don’t waste your time with massage, this increases blood circulation to the scalp but cannot pull protein out of thin air, and you are also pulling more hair out with massage!
So no shampoo (including Mane n’ Tail!) conditioner, oil, or product can, in any way, accelerate hair growth. Hair growth is almost entirely genetic, and a little bit diet, so all that you can do it change your diet. Split ends cause breakage on the bottom of your hair, not at the base. Hair is an inanimate strand of protein, nothing that you do to the bottom if it can have any effect on the top of it.
So again, trimming your hair has no effect on growth! Hair does not grow from the ends, it grows from the root! Hair growth is entirely biological and has nothing to do with the hair that you already have, so having healthy hair DOES NOT mean that it will grow faster, damaged hair grows at the exact same pace as healthy hair. If you want healthy hair, avoid heat at all costs and get a salon quality shampoo and conditioner, wash the conditioner out with cold water, but this will have no effect on growth.

..so try this…regular trims are a must, about every 7-9 weeks.(if your hair is really healthy then up the trims to about every 12 weeks, a trim is just a snip off the ends) if its been awhile since you have had a trim then inches may be called for to get to healthy hair. i use vitamin e on fresh washed hair.(its a vitamin that can be purchased where you buy vitamins, cut open capsule, squeeze into hand, rub hands together and apply to hair) dont message into scalp. if you get too much then just rewash it. hair will feel slightly sticky until dry then it will be nice and soft. it tames the frizzies, deep conditions and makes hair grow about three in a month. it takes about a month for the growth part of the e to kick in. the other benefits are instant. dont brush your hair but maybe three or four times a week to message the scalp, dry hair, never wet, i use a wide tooth comb at other times. brushing breaks off hair. i just started biotin vitamins going on four months ago this sat and notice and big growth spurt from that. biotin is cheap and also promotes hair regrowth and growth. i also have the biotin shampoo that i got from a vitamin store online.(puritans pride.com or vitadigest.com) five bucks for a big bottle and a big bottle of E is about 8 bucks. the biotin is about 3 bucks. i now take my fingers and message my scalp about five times a week, along with the brushing thats a good way to do it without damaging your hair. apply two or three capsules of e to dry hair and message into scalp and hair really well, put damp towel in microwave for 1 min to get hot, then quickly wrap head, a dry towel can be placed over that to help hold in the heat, leave on for 15 min, shampoo well, makes an excellent hot oil treatment. good luck, AND some people will argue about regular trims, your hair does grow from the roots, yes, but if your hair is not trimmed at the bottom, the it splits, get dry and brittle not to mention thin looking from no trims at all and frizzy. then your hair starts to break off at the bottom and giving you the appearance that it never grows. so to make hair grow as fast as possible and keep it healthy, then trims are an essential part of hair care. look on a ruler and check out less then half an inch and if your salon does not know what that is then take a ruler with you, i have. as of five weeks ago adding beta carotene vitamins to my regimen. i found out that along with the biotin it is very very good in promoting hair growth. they were five bucks for a bottle of 100. got them at walmart. the biotin and e can also be purchased at walmart, and adding all this up is pretty cheap to get great hair. i just wish the shampoo was available in the stores, but not yet.
