I am going start off with gardening at my patio. I live in a apartment (first floor) & I have a small patio. I wanna grow flower plants like Gerber daisies or Mini roses. I live in Denver. Any suggestions where to get started with? Which pots are good for those plants? Ideas on where I can get them?

Home depot is an excellent source and you can pick the pots or shelf boxes according to your taste. I prefer heavy plastic to pottery for durability.

Hello 3DFan! For several years I lived in apartments and condos where I grew everything in a Container Garden. You can match the décor of your pots to your outdoor furniture (tables and chairs).

Gerbera Daisies look great on their own but some varieties will not bloom throughout the summer, so consider adding other flowers in an arrangement. Mini roses look attractive in either small containers or grouped together in a mass planting to give the appearance of a spreading bush. Both plant types will benefit from dead-heading (removing the flowers once the bloom has faded).
