How to get rid of desktop picture shortcut without deleting the picture?

iHate Cena Fans: How to get rid of desktop picture shortcut without deleting the picture?
So I was looking around for wallpaper for my desktop background for my macbook. I found some, and placed them as my background by dragging them from the Safari page to my desktop, where they then appear as a shortcut. Then obviously I right-click and set as background. But, I want to get rid of the shortcut, but everytime I try, it deletes the picture from my files. How can I remove the shortcut without deleting the picture file? I’ve done it before, but I can’t remember lmao.

delete shortcut. right click it and press delete short cut.

when i want a background for my comptuer i just right click it propertiies and find the picturei want.

open finder

click on your profile name on the left

click the pictures folder

drag picture from desktop to pictures folder

Try moving it to a folder instead of deleting it, it may be the actual jpeg and not just a shortcut.
