Jason: How to dance with a girl during a fast song?
So this year is the first time I’ve ever had a date to Homecoming and I am unsure of how to dance with my date during fast songs. I am most concerned with how to position myself in relation to her, where I put my hands, and how to move in general. I have no problem with slow dancing, I’ve just never danced to a fast song with a partner before. Help please? I really don’t want to look stupid. Thanks.

Well, I can not tell you what to do, but as a girl I can absolutely tell you what has annoyed me when dancing fast songs with guys. I always hate it when the guy tries to lead me during a fast song (unless it is ballroom dancing, but I don’t think this is what we are talking about here). The main reason is that I have my own dance moves for those songs and when the guy steps in and tries to do his thing with me I lose my beat. So I would advise you to do your thing in front of her during those songs and let her do her thing, and keep eye contact. Hope you have a fantastic evening!

Okay here’s the deal. I hate when people try to “bump and grind” or whatever they call it when dancing. I am a senior in college and dances I’ve gone to here disgust me when guys try to do that. It much more classy and sexy when a guy holds your hands and spins you around and stuff. Do fun things like dipping her and just being fun and goofy! I think most women would find that more attractive than someone trying to stick their junk in your butt. not cool!

As for slow dancing, it is also sexy and attractive when a guy holds your left hand and dances with his hand on your waist or back that way. Being smashed up against each other looks stupid and you can’t talk comfortably or see each other.

First dance behind or in front of her and just move ur arms kind of and sway just have fun and if she gives signs she wants to grind and stuff then follow those signs but dont get to nasty cuz that can draw the wrong kind of attention back down if she tends to seem uncomfy
