S and G princess: How much skin is the proper amount to have on a navel piercing?
How much of the barbel should the skin cover? How many millimeters of skin? Does a small amount of skin always mean that the piercing is rejecting?

i wish i could show you how mine was. it was so shallow, and wonky, the piercer did it wrong. i would say at least a good 2-3 cm should be fine, but dont fret if its more or less than that. and a belly button piercing rejecting will go very red and pussey. the piercing with eventually drop out anyway. as new skin growws the piercing is pushed further and further forward, until it eventually drops out. but this is natrual, and you can get it re pierced.
It depends, some people just have shallower navel piercings than others. Compare it to when you first got it done, and the swelling subsided. Is it quite noticeably shallower? If so, go back to the piercers, they aren’t just there to pierce you, any good piercer will be there for advice and help. If you can’t go back to that studio, call up a local one, and ask if you can pop in to get it checked out, they’ll be happy to help, it’s their job.
Ignore what that girl said about letting your navel piercing drop out, because then this can happen.
Yes, it can split. If the piercer confirms it is rejecting, then take it out, let it heal, and maybe try again when fully healed.
It’s impossible to tell without a picture, also look out for signs of redness.
Good luck.
