No clue, but the rise of gas prices here in the US is ridiculous since our largest supplier of foreign oil is an even more stable country than we are – Canada.
I heard on a news site they have 2% of the worlds oil reserves (alot!) and produce 1.8 million barrels per day. It’s a popular oil shop for europe due to cheap cost at about $ 1 per barrel.Answer by KlemKiddleHopper

According to the CIA world factbook 2009 stats, Libya produces 1,790,000 bbl /day (barrels per day) making Libya the #18 oil producing country in the world. This is 2.49% of the 71,959,000 bbl/day of oil produced by the top 20 oil producing countries and 2.05% of the 87,125,145 bbl/day of oil produced by the top 100 oil producing countries.Answer by Newlywed!
Libya only produces a small amount of the world’s oil. The reason it has such a big impact though it because they supply crude oil, when it a really good oil. Not all oil is the same. So even though it doesn’t seem like it should have a big impact on the US, it does because we get more crude oil than other kinds of oil because it’s higher quality.
