How much money should i spend on makeup?

Maya: How much money should i spend on makeup?
I am 14 years old and i would like to start wearing some makeup, but I dont want to spend tons of money but i still want good makeup so it wont look like princess makeup for little kids. Some makeup tips? And where should I buy?

dont buy to much just eyeliner and maybe eyeshadow and lipgloss
not to much
maybe about 10 dollors for all of that
but if you want good quailty eyeliner (dont get wet and wild may be cheap but doesn’t work well)
its going to cost around 10 dollors just for eyeliner

I buy my makeup at Wal-Mart. You don’t have to wear a lot. All I wear is eyeliner and mascara, and I’m 13. The eyeliner I buy is 99 cents. It’s by NYC. Here is the link:

Go to a department store like Wal-Mart near your home, or a drugstore.
Look for inexpensive but good quality brands like Maybelline, CoverGirl etc. Everybody wears these brands. It just doesn’t make that much sense to spend so much money on extremely expensive designer makeup, so something like this would be perfect because it works just as well. 🙂
Start of with maybe some mascara and lipgloss. If you have acne and want to even out your skin tone, try some foundation. If you want more, add eyeshadow and a little bit of blush. Just don’t overdo it and you’ll look great. Since you are just starting off, it’s good to try new products and experiment with them to see what works best for you. 🙂

wal mart cover girl, but your young girl so dont wear too much you should wear make up when you go out to places. so stick with mascara

Right now there are tons of make up sets coming out for Christmas…this would be an ideal starter for your age. Depending on the set, you’ll get several shades of shadows, blush, lip color…and some sets even come with mascara, eyeliner and some brushes. The brushes will not be high quality, but it’s a nice perk. I’ve never seen one with foundation and concealer, but you’re only 14 and don’t really need these yet anyway.

Check out Sephora, or your local drug and/or department stores. Lots of cosmetic companies put these sets out for as little as $ 20. Like I say, they are a great starter set for your age group. Enjoy!

since your new to it then don’t spend alot of money. go to your drugstore. for coverup buy neutrogena or almay. [my dermatologist said that if your going to wear makeup only those two brands are ok.] you could wear some eyeliner, almays eyeliner is good and it doesn’t smudge and it lasts long. for mascara get covergirl exact eyelights mascara or maybelline xxl. if you have good skin, dont wear coverup (foundation& powder) you cou.d wear lip gloss neutrogena has non sticky lip gloss. yah i think that sounds good:]

Plan a reasonable budget, and make sure you buy one brand so you don’t have a mixture of things when you get home.

All you really need is

– Eyeliner
– Eyeshadow ( Pick a flattering palette for your eyes)
– Mascara (Only if you have a thin eyelashes though)
– Eyebrow Pencil (Only if you have thin eyebrows)
-Concealer (Pick the proper shade)
– Foundation (Pick the exact shade as your face)
-Lip Gloss
-Lipstick
