Everytime I’ve stayed in a hotel you can use as much as you want, They probably only have a T-1 or cable modem and you can use what ever everybody isn’t using. It’s a shared connection so as long as nobody’s on it you can use it all.
Completely dependent on the motel/hotel. Some places that are not very busy, or in the middle of nowhere may have a completely open system for you to connect to, which means that everyone will be fighting equally for whatever the connection speed is. Although, in my personal experience, most hotel chains that have systems that require you to login and stuff like that, you will get about 300-500k/s down. If you’re in a hotel now you can check out www.numion.com and run their speed test to see what you’re getting.Answer by ♥Tom♥
I used to connect wirelessly at 54mb but it will vary depending upon how strong you can get their signal. I have had times when my fastest connection was from a hotel across the street from where I was staying.Answer by gto69judge
I’ve never run against any bandwidth limitations. Depending on how much the hotel felt like splashing out for their internet connection, actual connection speed was between blah and pretty good.
So long as you aren’t doing anything illegal, I don’t think the hotel cares how much you upload/download.
The hotel may be monitoring what you do with their internet, so I wouldn’t do any kind of file sharing (if you do at all).
