I have to do a persuasive essay, and I was wondering how many teens kill themselves for love? Like for example Romeo and Juliet killed themselves for love. Is there any statistics that show how many teens kill themselves for love>?

Tough one. Ugh. I love my boyfriend so much and I truly know our love is real. Occasionally, when I have a dream that I lose him or I hear about someone else losing their loved one, I wonder what in the world would I do without him. I don’t think I would be able to keep living. That being said, I also know that I would never commit suicide.
someone gave you statistics and those are probably perfectly right. Still, how many of those are for love? i think most suicide attempts happen because of self esteem issues, social issues such as bullying, or home issues. I don’t think many of them are because of love.
As far as your essay, even though there are any hard statistics, bring up the stats mentioned and my point above. Then play into pathos a lot if you’re going for the side saying most teenagers would commit suicide for love. Really play up how amazing it feels to be in love and how heartbreaking it is to lose that. Then bring in the Romeo and Juliet example and weave your essay around that.
