: How many gifts should I get my one and a half year old for christmas?
I was just wondering how many gifts i should get her for christmas. Her birthday was a few months ago and I agree that I went over board. Just for an idea, we literally opened gifts for an hour, and after i relized how ridiculous it was, I got all the kids to pitch in and help open them. So im wondering how many for christmas?

Get her a few fun gifts to open. Let her open one and really play with it before opening another one. She’s so little she won’t be counting everyone else’s presents to make sure you love her as much as you love the others. It won’t matter how many there are, as long as she has fun with the ones she opens.

One family I know opens the gifts one at a time, going around the room. The youngest opens a gift, then the next oldest, next, and so on until it comes around to the youngest again. By that time, the youngest has had time to play with what she opened and is ready for another one.

I have a daughter who turned 1 on october 5th, 2011 and I got her 31 presents. Got her a potty chair and training pants cause shes gonna need them soon anyways then I got her all the 12+ toys and 12-36 mo toys i could find and will then be donating her under 12mo toys to charities and replace them with her christmas presents after they are opened. My 6 year old son also got 31 presents and his toys that are still in great condition will be donated as well
