Weather and climate are not the same thing, and a weather man is not a climatologist. Climatology is a complex subject that trained scientists study for years and years. The vast majority of climatologists feel that the crisis that we face is man-made. What qualifies you to argue with them?

Do you really believe that the majority of the world’s experts in climatology have been working together for years to delude all the people of the world? Why on earth would they do that? That would be the biggest conspiracy ever. I mean really, if you think about it does that make any sense to you?

You’re deluded if you think pumping millions of tons of Carbon into the atmosphere has no effect. 17,300 species are endangered right now. Because of environmental degradation, people are suffering too. The saying is we don’t inherit this planet from our parents; we borrow it from our children. But we’re not borrowing from our children; we’ve been stealing from them for a long time. That is immoral. It is time we all got together and started paying back.

Bottom line: If we try to do something and it works, hooray. If we try to do something and it doesn’t work, oh well. If we could have done something, but we didn’t even try, stupid us.

The global warming issue stands in the way of the profits for oil companies. It implies we should make more fuel efficient vehicles and in turn, buy less gas. Every major TV network run countless advertisements for gasoline brands, motor oil, and other products from oil companies.

Seems some people watch a TV news story about the “climate gate scandal” (2 minutes after the add for an oil company) and then conclude, based on 3 minutes worth of information from a source with a conflict of interest, that global warming is some massive conspiracy and science itself is basically a conspiracy. Then they pat themselves on the back for being smart enough to see through the conspiracy and know that global warming is some sort of a “liberal agenda”.

Meanwhile, 99% of the scientific community remains convinced that global warming is real.
