Jewels: How long will it take for the Abrahamic religions to be considered mythology?
Shouldn’t we be coming to an end here shortly, dictated by history? What will it take? A new religion to fill it’s place?
I’m sure the Greeks, Romans, and the Norsemen all thought their religions would live on forever as truth, but they are now studied in classes as mythology.

Islam is the fastest growing religion today and it is an Abrahamic religion. People who use common sense just see it as the truth.Answer by Paul M
They are so solidly based in history, and so well confirmed in archeology that I would say never, especially Bible based Christianity.
There is more evidence for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ than for any other personal event in ancient history.
Alexis– Voltaire made a similar prediction, saying that the Bible would disappear within a hundred years. Oddly, when Voltaire died, his house and printing press were purchased and used to print Bibles. God loves irony.

Answer by AlexisI predict that religion of all types will constitute a minority of the population within one hundred years, and less than 1% of the population within two hundred.
We now have the science and technology to provide us with the correct answers to our questions about the universe, how it works, and why. There will be no need for the invention of any further religions, nor do I think any new major ones will appear, although a number of small religions may develop in the next century or two.
When exactly religion will be consider mythology by society at large, I’d say when the percentage of believers drops below a certain point. Probably 150-200 years from now.
Answer by CoreyDon’t tell the Christians and Muslims, but their religions are already studied as mythology too.Answer by Park
Actually there are still followers of the Greek/Roman religions, and probably Norse, too. You should do at least some research on something. Ignorance is the natural and simplest state, and it’s taught how to move out of it in very early parts of school; mayhap you should restart school from 1st grade so you don’t miss things like that?Answer by XY
Never, just because you don’t want to know anything about Judaism and Christianity doesn’t make them false. Until Jesus return there will always be a small remnant or more that hold onto the truth.
No matter how much prejudice and intollerance and progaganda is created saying that Christianity is a myth the problem arises for people like you when people invesitgate its truths. C.S. Lews, Alister McGrath, Lee Strobel, Malcolm Muggridge, Josh McDowell and others came to faith investigating Christianity…. truth holds it’s own very well!
Prof. Daniel B. Wallace (wrote the textbook on ancient Greek & Greek translation) in an interview in the book “The Case for the Real Jesus” says “It’s disturbing that when it comes to the Christian faith, people don’t really want, or know how, to investigate the evidence”

Atheism will be a myth someday though, right up there with Aphrodite and Mars and the Roman and Greek gods someday though, I hope you learn what is true someday.
Answer by DrakestoneDepends on your definition of mythology. Only a fool will not admit that there are mythological stories in the Bible, but that does not take away the validity of Abrahamic monotheism. Paul Bunyan is a mythological character, but that does not mean there are no lumberjacks. Pecos Bill is a mythological character, but there are still cowboys. Theism and atheism are both choices, but the selection of one does not invalidate the selection of the other by someone else.Answer by Tattler Lizard
mythology is dead religion, it will take about 150 years for the abrahamic religions to be placed in this category.
