pulgitananita: How important are house flies to the planet?
Seriously, if house flies were extinct, would other animals be affected so greatly that they too might extinct?
I abhor house flies. Can someone give me a reason not to hate house flies?

These filthy animals do help clean up carcasses and poop.
House flies suck. Roaches, too. But sadly, they are part of the ecosystem, both as waste management and as food for other animals. Personally, I would rather both species fall off the face of the planet, if it were possible. Of course, the reality is that house flies and cockroaches have been here millions of years before we were, and will be here millions of years after we’re gone.
