Steve is the Thomas Edison of our time. 6 syllable words and where he went to college don’t mean squat.

you can have all the education in the world. that doesn’t mean you gonna be successful. success is determined by how hard your work for it. you really don’t have to finish school because learning is a everyday process. your talent and determination will help you succeed. success doesn’t have a time limit. i’m writing a book and after 150 rejection letters it’s finally being published. now after my book is published i have other ideas i plan on persuing. after the luck with the book it opened up the door for me to explore other options. i was never interested in school and it never kept me focused but life and living in the real world pushed me to achieve my dreams.

There are several college dropouts out there making billions .. Bill Gates, Michael Dale, Mark Elliot Zuckerberg, etc..

Except for ‘instant fame’ (for example, Susan Boyle and similar), success requires a lot of time and effort. On average, it takes seven years to become an overnight success. Steve Jobs and his partner put in a lot of time building computers in the family garage (or equivalent). Bill Gates did as well.

They also had a few contacts (people they knew, or their families knew) that could give them a couple of breaks that the average person is not likely to have. That’s not knocking their success, by the way; they made use of those contacts, as well as putting in the hard work to make their eventual companies successful. If you think they had it easy, look at their biographies.

Most people who graduate from college and university will never put in the effort of college drop-outs like Gates and Jobs. They will stagnate in jobs working for people already in power (or rich) and always be also-rans.

But don’t take that to mean that you need to be a drop-out to succeed – most drop-outs will fare a lot more badly than graduates, and finish up in real dead-end jobs.
