How does the bride make her entrance in an outdoor wedding?

Traditionally, the bride waits with her father in the foyer, and when it’s time for her grand entrance, she walks in through the doors…
But what if my wedding is outside? I can’t just stand at the back, since then it won’t be a very grand entrance after everyone’s seen me waiting back there…

If you have a tent, you can either put the guests to sit in there and you could wait outside, or you have your own tent and wait inside.

My wedding was outdoors but it was in a big garden that had this beautiful wisteria covered arbor. So I walked down through that and then there were only a few more steps in open grass area to walk to where my groom was standing. Even though your groom will see you coming, there’s nothing like the walk. It won’t matter.

Don’t arrive at the site until the last minute. Stay in your vehicle as long as possible. When you get out of the vehicle, surround yourself with bridesmaids (and dad).

And yes, you may be seen just a bit . . . but it truly does not matter. The processional will still be awesome.

Have a tent put up. Not really a camping tent but a smaller version of a fireworks stand. Just have it in the colors of your wedding. Then you and dad can wait in there until the time comes.

i got married on a peninsula on a lake and there was no cover for me. What I did was I got 10 girls (children of my friends, cousins, nieces, etc.) to form a “wall” in front of me. We had a black and white wedding so they all wore black pants and white shirt. they got out of the limo before me and blocked everyone’s view. they stayed in front of my until we reached the rows and paused, the music started and the girls stepped away…leaving me standing there with my dad. It was beautiful and the girls loved being a part of it.

Are there no covered areas from where the “aisle” is??? I’m having an outdoor wedding, but my site lends itself to hiding me. I will just walk around the bushes and the aisle is there to walk down.
