three ways: 1. debt management, 2. consolidation, 3. bankruptcy. You can manage your debt by yourself by setting a game plan on how to payoff the debt and stay out. Or, you can use the help of a credit counseling agency (phone book, google). If you own a home or can obtain a sensible personal loan to payoff your credit card debts, that is a smart move that wraps everything into a fixed payment (close your cards too!). Or a last resort is bankruptcy – consulting an attorney for your options and ability to do so is a must. I’d avoid bankruptcy if at all possible – its a terrible blemish on your credit and can affect your ability to maintain any other assets you own.
