Well, a food web is just a bunch of food chains. Isolated food chains are pretty rare in nature anyway. To make your web though, all you need to know is which plants and animals the parrotfish eat, and which animals eat parrotfish (which is a hint right there, it’s not at the outer edge of the web). Parrotfish are reef fish.
Definition of a food web:
The set of organism relationships, often based on who-eats– who, or which organisms cycle a particular nutrient within and ecological community
Hence, it is an interrelationship chart and works in the same way as a food chain, however, it doesn’t follow the linear concept of a food chain, it encompasses a multidirectional concept. i.e. more than one predator/prey.
For example, krills (shrimp creatures)
krills are a major source of food for whales but humans and other organisms also eat krills. Krills eat smaller organisms, etc…
Basically, a predator and prey chart – note: you would also have to do one for each predator and prey that you list and somehow find a particular species that ties all those creatures together. Webs are way more complex than chains.
The site listed can help you get started on your project.
Answer by ObaMooseParrot fish eat coral, which is why they have a hard beak for a mouth. If you ever go to a white sand beach, the sand is made from parrot fish poop.
