How do you stop SPAM MAIL from being sent from your account to others?

cclvgirl: How do you stop SPAM MAIL from being sent from your account to others?
Some how my Email account is sending various SPAM MAILS. I need to find a way to eliminate it without having to delete &/or change my account.

Your account got compromised. First change your password. Account help.https://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/acct/in… for just about anything to do with your account. Then run anti Virus and Anti Spyware. Should be fine then.

Your account has been compromised, Yahoo strongly suggests that you change your password NOW. Then it will stop. Run a virus scan. Alert your contacts not to click any links in the message because it is a virus/worm At one time someone sent you an infected email and they didn’t know. Like those forward chain mails. It latched on to your contact list.
